A successful nature adventure begins before the journey starts. Thinking about your interests, group size, available time and preferred activities can help you choose an experience that fits your plans.
Choose the Experience That Fits Your Group
Different visitors come to Kakamega for different reasons. Some want focused birding, others want a relaxed forest experience, while families, schools and private groups may prefer activities designed around their own schedules.
Plan Your Time
Allowing enough time for the experience makes it easier to explore without unnecessary pressure. When planning your visit, consider travel time, the duration of your chosen activity and time for rest or additional exploration.
Travel Responsibly
Nature travel is most meaningful when visitors respect the places they explore. Follow local guidance, avoid disturbing wildlife and vegetation, and help keep natural areas clean for future visitors.
